Thanks to its well-thought-out handle geometry, the knife provides multiple grip options for versatility. The knife blade is made from Swedish stainless steel, 14C28N, with over 80% recycled content from the steel producer. This high-quality, world-class knife steel, combined with our expertise in hardening and metallurgy, delivers exceptional performance in the field. The 11 cm long, 3.2 mm thick knife blade features a Scandi grind, offering superb strength and stability in every cut. As the full-tang knife blade extends through and beyond the handle, it enables more advanced use. Both the spine and tang heel have been specially adapted for easy use with a fire starter, depending on the ignition technique you prefer. Garberg comes with a symmetrical knife sheath made of durable polymer, featuring a leather strap that can be attached to a belt and worn by both left- and right-handed users. The manufacturing process for the knife blade has been refined for over 130 years at the knife factory in Mora. Morakniv strives for an ideal balance between optimal sharpness and edge retention. Through advanced heat treatment, where the knife blade is heated to over a thousand degrees and then cooled to room temperature before being tempered at several hundred degrees, the knife blade’s performance is optimized. After this process, the knife blade achieves a hardness of 58 HRC. Each component is meticulously developed, designed, and crafted with masterful quality at the knife factory in Mora, Sweden.
